Our client is a food & beverage conglomerate with multiple facilities across Asia and Europe. They are currently looking for a senior finance & accounting professional to head up the manufacturing finance function for the group in Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the CFO and managing a team of 3, you will be responsible for the following:
- Directing the financial affairs of the facilities and its operations
- Preparing/developing operating budgets and financial forecasts, institute and maintain other planning and control procedures (including the cost accounting system)
- Leading monthly sales forecasting efforts for the plants
- Overseeing the Cost Accounting system for the plants (i.e. maintaining standards for all raw materials, components and finished goods and monitoring and researching variances as needed) and analyse and report variances
- Performing financial analysis of capital projects and preparing capital requests and ROI documentation in accordance with company procedures
- Coach / mentor plant finance teams to deliver high quality performances and meet their career objectives
- Lead finance resource allocation to achieve best possible support to plant management team in day to day activities and projects
- Ensuring adherence to Accounting policies and procedures
Key Requirements
- Degree in Finance/Accounting from a reputable university
- Qualified chartered accountant
- At least 10 years of relevant experience of which minimum 3 years were spent in an established MNC/Public Listed company, and comes from a FMCG background
- Familiar with Malaysia FRS
- Familiar with SAP, JDE systems
- Ability to provide strong financial leadership to the plants and anticipate the needs of various stakeholders and provide sound financial recommendations
- Hands-on and is open-minded with the ever-changing FMCG challenges
- Prior experience in leading teams
