The role will support the Director Economic Policy in the economic policies development. Reporting to the Director, the incumbent will manage teams and be responsible for the following:
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop policy alignment
- Review Economic Policies, Policy variations/updates and research plans in line with organisation’s overall strategic outcomes
- Assess and identify areas for strategic policy reviews, determine review scope and supervise the conduct of reviews
- Shape or conduct studies to deepen understanding of manpower issues and gain insights on effectiveness of organisation's initiatives and strategies
- Review and analyze data on economic policies. To develop analytical pieces to inform on policy thinking, such as providing insights on support for workers given evolving needs and developments in the society
- Provide policy support for organisation's participation in national platforms where economic policies are deliberated
Requirements:
- 10-15 years’ experience, with at least 3-4 years in a policy role
- Experience in leading a team in similar capacity
- Clarity of thoughts, Strategic thinking, Ability to engage with various stakeholders e.g. internal departments, affiliated unions, government agencies, etc
- Policy experience preferably in the Singapore public service
