Job Description

Our client is a global market leader in the Indistrial Engineering industry, with some of the world's most advanced research and manufacturing sites, growing multi-million dollar sales and revenue, and a strong working culture. Their unique pipeline of products makes them one of the most rewarding employers to work for. With their on-going expansion plans in the Asia-Pacific Region, they seek a Business Development Manager to assist in expanding the clientele within the Automation sector.

You will be involced in identifying business leads, developing relevant business contacts and potential clients for the Automation sector, which will contribute to the P&L of the business. You will be responsible for coming up with business strategies, forecasting, planning and budgeting to aid in both long and short term business development plans. You will buildi new target client and contact lists wth the aim of contributing to the revenue stream for the business. You will also provide technical expertise in manufacturing / factory automation either at an operational or project management level, as well as help the technical team in implementation of Industry 4.0 or China Manufacturing 2025

The ideal candidate should have a degree in Engineering, Business or Marketing, with a minimum of 5 years of management experience in the Manufacturing Automation industry, You should have strong contacts and networks within the Manufacturing industry to help develop business plans. You should have excellent expertise in Automation for manufacturing and factories, and a proven track record in presenting business strategies, plans and budgets. 

This is a management level role that will allow you to directly make a difference to your direct reports through coaching, mentoring and challenging them to ensure a vibrant, satisfied workplace as well as minimizing risk to the more technical operations issues that may arise. This role also comes with an attractive remuneration package along with a clear set of expectations to assess improvements of new policies set out.
